INBETWEEN

In between circles of confusing chaotic mumbles
please at least grant me a peaceful night rest
and save me the fight with my soul
me, myself and I
or the silhouetted fantômes
of undead troubles lashing
out before me

Wrenching out my still beating heart
with such force it hurts
I gape etonné
In between catching my breath
in between my vocal chords snapping in two
in between the struggle
in between my life flashing by
flick by rapid flick
I remain immobile

In between waiting for demain
for the stars to give way
to a beautifuless sky
full of nothing
'save the rains
in between sitting through the rainfall
eating cold ice cream
in between the pitch blackness
when I close my eyes
in between a flooded mind
a sunflower in the middle of a corn field
in between a world obsessed with unity
of a billion wars
fighting so hard to keep the pack of dead alive
wanting, yet not getting

In between the slow motion
of pain a mother
brings forth the nine month old thing
and how the the fragile thing
would one day germinate into
a man
or something In between
and one day would want to
transform into a woman
or a robot
or both

In between the strings attached
unattached and reattached
In between the cold frustration
purple anger
blue sickness
yellow fevers
and black neutrality
I never forget
au nom de Venus
I never forget your face.

need balance

there's some beauty in darkness:
something interesting about
the way the air would heavily light
an irony of perfect juxtaposition. there's some beauty in ugly:
something intriguing about the
huge grotesque scars that
seem to never want to go away. there's some beauty in evil:
un peu de la purité in
the heart of a condemned man,
an innocence buried beneath a blanket of
bottled up emotions. these little beauties we
choose to neglect
aren't they the very things that
make living bearable? who would be good without the existence
of evil?
who would be beautiful without ugliness?
or what story could ever be told without scars? need beauty and ugliness,
need scars and healing oils,
need good and evil,
need all the balance to remain
steady and sane in this
crazy crazy world. need balance:
then imbalance to
balance the human equation
now and again.
