UNTITLED

It was in your eyes
those rêves,

It was in your entire face,
those moments,
5 frozen there.
It was in the way you walked,
swaying your hips as
you remained presently absent.
It was in the way you smiled,
10 the way you forced it,
the way your eyes would not
smile back,
the way your nose wrinkled,
the way your lips died
but you held your stance
15 on that false smile.
It was in the way you laughed
at almost all nonsenses,
cried at the jokes
and tensed at a glance.
20 It was there all along
and we just did not
care to notice.

the traffic, in French translated to, "la circulation"
right up from Admitalty Way through the Toll gates.
Cars honking, drivers cursing, almost excitedly at each other.
