THE WHAT'S PUPPET

Unresting resolve is constant reminder
of What and What you dared to claim
is forever erased,

blotted out of mind,
dusted off and ejected.
Far from reach,
out of sight,
but never out of mind.
And just like sin,
it crawls into mind
and feeds you Eve's Apple.
You see, you remember,
You blink, a tear drops,
You blink ,your mind races,
tracing back the images you
hid behind a misfit curtain
all along.
And like jazz,
You dance to the tune.
You smile back and you recount
the thing you wear around your heart.
In the middle of your puppet dance,
The puppeteer; the What, snickers.
"There, there goes my fool".
And you keep dancing.
Not like you have a choice.
The What snickers as you dance,
as it snickers as you dance.
It's the sweat that reminds you
the fool you have been,
drawing sweat for a What,
having no need of you.
So you blink back anger,
and rage,
and curse,
And promise never to be used again.
But the next time the What comes along,
You dance delightfully
to the jazz of their snicker.
You foolish puppet.

the unrepentant conductors yelling,
'Yaba! CMS! Yaba! Yaba!
the circular circulation of human sweat waving
through the air like Oxygen.
neglecting the weaknesses of island Ajebutters and JJC pedestrians. at night i was the city of J-Town after 8pm.
quiet. eerily so.
soldiers securing fences of the selected few.
smoking stuff and drinking liquor,
with AK-forty-somethings to bring down any rebel who dared to equal. he was the busy streets of Lasgidi at night:
the traffic, in French translated to, "la circulation"
right up from Admitalty Way through the Toll gates.
Cars honking, drivers cursing, almost excitedly at each other.
LASTMA officials obeying the call to rip-off 'rich' drivers. …
